Nigerian superstar and Grammy Nominee, Wizkid has once again proven his place as a global music icon with the release of his new album, “Morayo”.
Dropped on 22 November 2024, the album has proven to be a blend of Afrobeat rhythms, soulful melodies, and introspective lyrics that showcase Wizkid’s versatility and growth as an artist.
The album title, Morayo, meaning “I see joy” in Yoruba, was produced in honour of his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun. It’s a celebration of life, resilience, and the pursuit of happiness.

In a poll published by Billboard on Friday, November 22, Morayo topped the week’s rankings, with music fans overwhelmingly voting it as their favorite new release. Wizkid’s latest album garnered an extraordinary 79% of the votes, solidifying its position as a fan favorite.
Wizkid’s track “Kese (Dance)” set a new benchmark with an impressive 1.57 million plays on its debut day, becoming the most-streamed song in Nigeria on Spotify.
