Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour has been one of the most iconic and record-breaking concert tours in recent history, celebrating her illustrious career spanning over a decade.
In her sixth and final Eras tour show in Toronto, Taylor Swift responded emotionally to the minute-long standing ovation from the audience during her performance of “Champagne Problems.”
Touched by the gratitude of the audience, the music star fought back tears as she spoke to the crowd as seen in a social media video.
“Toronto, we’re at the very end of this tour, so you doing that, you have no idea how much it means to me and to my …”
She said, turning away from the mic for a moment. With evident emotion, she turned back and proceeded.
“This tour…I don’t even know what I’m saying anymore. That was…uh, I’m just having a bit of a moment sorry… It’s not even the last show!”
Swift paused, wiping the conner of her eyes. After composing herself a bit, she continued.
“My band, my crew, all of my fellow performers, we have put so much of our lives into this. And you’ve put so much of your lives into being with us tonight and to giving us that moment that we will never forget. We’ve loved our time in Toronto, it’s been so amazing. I love you guys. Thanks so much for that.”
The tour, which kicked off in March 2023 and is set to conclude next month in December 2024 will leave fans with unforgettable memories and high expectations for what’s next.
In March 2023, Taylor Swift first announced the global tour that paid tribute to all of her previous and current albums.
Before formally wrapping off her Eras Tour on December 8, the Grammy-winning singer will play three additional shows in Vancouver.
